New Boats - World Launch of Virtess Premium Range at Cannes
German builder Bavaria has added a second model, the 420 Coupe, to its new Virtess premium motoryacht line, which it plans to launch at the Cannes Boat Show in September.
Bavaria introduced the Virtess concept (previously known as Zircon) at boot Dusseldorf last January. The first build in the eventual six-boat range will be the Virtess 420, the company’s first-ever flybridge cruiser.
Working with Italian designers Too Design on the new range, Bavaria has Cannes pencilled in for the 420’s world launch, the Virtess 420C hitting the water later in the season.
Notable features of the 420 Coupé include a panoramic sunroof, roof sunbed with stair-access from the cockpit, and internal design focusing on plenty of natural light and high-quality furnishings in “generous” living areas.
Apart from the unique roof recliner, the outdoor entertainment emphasis of the Virtess 420C is also enhanced by a forward sunbed and aft in the cockpt, a transom lounge with table and wide access either side to a deep hydraulic swimplatform with integrated swimladder.
The retractable sunroof, when opened, allows the skipper to see over the roofline for extra vision, while wide, sliding saloon doors engage seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity.
The saloon has an aft U-shaped dinette to starboard and a portside L-shaped galley opposite the helm equipped with microwave, espresso machine, fridge, designer sink and large surfaces, plus drawers and hinged doors storage.
