Fairline Targa 45 Boat Review
Brit boatbuilder Fairline has unveiled plans for a new addition to its range in the form of the two-cabin, two-en suite Targa 45 Open. The emphasis of the design is squarely on the social aspects of boating, with the generous open cockpit and outdoor living space taking priority.
The result is a design that includes a full-length sunbed above the tender garage — which can take a tender up to the size and weight of a Williams 285 Jet RIB — with a comfortable dining area and an abundance of seating around the helm to ensure the driver doesn’t get lonely.
Power for the 45ft8in yacht will come from a twin Volvo Penta IPS installation, while a 3ft3in draft will ensure you’ll be able to sneak into shallow bays and anchorages.
“Creating a large and social outdoor living space is our main focus for the Targa 45,” says Fairline’s chief designer, Andrew Pope. The new model is due to launch in spring 2013.
