Pacific and Jeanneau on the Gold Coast

Australian boating identity Brett Thurley has launched Pacific Motor Yachts, a new brand representing the entire range of Jeanneau powerboats and Prestige European motorboats throughout Qld.

Pacific Motor Yachts, based on the Coomera facility on the Gold Coast, will have five new models on display at the upcoming Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show.

“These new boats represent the exciting new styling of Jeanneau and Prestige,” said Thurley.

“With the new Prestige models, Italian designer Vittorio Garroni has brought a fresh new look to the latest models with aft galleys and single-level entertaining that will appeal to the Australian market.

The Prestige 440S sportsyacht powered by Volvo IPS, a Leader 10 diesel-powered sportscruiser, and an 8.5 Cap Camarat centre console sportsboat with outboard power will arrive in Queensland in the next few weeks.

“We will [also] have the award-winning Prestige 500 flybridge and NC9 models at our on-water display.”

Thurley said the team at Pacific Motor Yachts was building on the experience and expertise gained in building the Clipper Motor Yachts brand and distribution.

“Clipper is now the number one selling semi-displacement trawler in Australia,” he said.

“The team maintains our commitment to Clipper as we develop this new business.”

Thurley purchased the Australian distribution rights for Clipper in 2009 for Clipper Motor Yachts with business partner Glenn Thurlow, a watersports industry veteran.
