SUMMER FESTIVALS - Sydney Harbour

Exclusion and restriction zones (above) will be active on Sydney Harbour this summer for the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race start, New Year's Eve on-water fireworks displays and Australia Day festivities.

Sydney's big days out on the water begin with the spectacular start for the Rolex Sydney Hobart Race on Boxing Day, December 26. Areas affected stretch from Shark Island to Sydney Heads between 11.30am to 2.20pm.

There
are seven fireworks barges for
New Year's Eve
in an exclusion zone from Cockatoo Island to Shark Island and effective from 8pm to 12.45am.

Australia Day celebrations include the Ferrython, Tall Ships Race,
jazz concert, and a search-and-rescue helicopter demonstration, the above NSW Maritime map displays routes and
locations.
