REGATTAS - Festival of Sails new website
The Festival of Sails has a new website www.festivalofsails.com.au
Formerly known as Audi Victoria Week and Geelong Week before that, the new Festival of Sails brand was launched earlier this year and the website has followed in suit.
The Festival of Sails, first held in 1844, is Victoria’s oldest ongoing sporting event and the largest annual keelboat regatta in the Southern Hemisphere. Not just for sailors, the event combines the public, with 100,000 festival goers flocking to the Geelong Waterfront to celebrate the Australia Day holiday period.
The new website is the place to go for all event information, whether a sailor or Waterfront Festival patron, with up-to-date news and developments.
The website will also provide information leading up to and during the regatta, with Notice of Race, Sailing Instructions, Event Guides and Entertainment Schedules.
Through the website you can also access Festival of Sails updates, stories and photos.
The Festival of Sails attracts more than 400 yachts and 4500 competitors to Melbourne and Geelong over the Australia Day holiday period. For those not competing on-water, there is plenty of shoreside excitement along the Geelong Waterfront over the Australia Day holiday period.
The 2012 Festival of Sails promises thrilling sailing action for high-performance or cruising sailors, family entertainment, exciting on-water activities for all to try and above all, a unique Australia Day weekend experience.
