New Yachts - Hanse Premium Class
With nearly sixty 630s sold, German builder Hanse Yachts is expanding its fleet with a new range of luxury custom yachts longer than 60ft through its recently created Premium Class department.
The new class combines racing-inspired design with luxurious living and the first boat penned for launch is the 24m Hanse 78 Premium.
“After years of planning this large-scale project, collecting ideas, carefully listening to feedback from Hanse 630 owners, and taking into account yachting trends and developments, the first Hanse 78 is finally slated for launch in 2012-2013,” said the company.
Hanse says its Premium Class experience allows every detail onboard the 78 to be customised with an array of selected wood finishes, upholstery, fabrics and interior layouts. “The only prerequisites are the high-performance of the vessel and her exceptionally seaworthy hull and deck,” Hanse added.
The builder said its Premium Class clients will receive professional assistance from its design team to create an “entirely unique yacht” according to individual wishes and requirements.
“The Premium Class portfolio will be available exclusively through Hanse’s preferred partners, all of whom have the capacity to provide expert assistance,” said Hanse. “Customers will receive personal consultation from a Hanse Premium Class technical adviser, who will follow the whole project from the initial expression of interest through to completion and handover,” the company said.
According to Hanse, special attention was given to designing the on-deck living space. Most notable are the spacious cockpit area comprising separate steering stations, an aft deck offering access to the sea and the owners’ stateroom, large transom garage, and a recessed area forward of the mast to house a tender, cockpit-type seating, sheltered lounge, or, wait for it, a pool.
Hanse also mentioned “the importance of natural light”, equipping its new flagship with a wealth of glass surfaces on deck as well as numerous hull portlights.
Designed by naval architects Judel/Vrolijk, the Hanse 78 Premium features an epoxy-construction performance hull and tall carbon rig combined with an optimised keel.
“This makes the 24m Hanse 78 a super-reliable yacht capable of smooth and easy handling under sails, at high speeds, in all weather conditions, and with a minimal crew,” says Hanse.
