News - Maritimo Opens Hope Island Facility To All Boaters

Competition for boat-owner dollars is hotting up on the northern Gold Coast with Maritimo now opening up its Hope Island facility to the general boating public for maintaining their pride and joy.

The travel lift and service centre has up until now been used largely to provide services and facilities to Maritimo owners, but now it is going to be available to anyone with a boat.

Maritimo’s Craig Jones said: “We are in a brilliant location being at Hope Harbour Marina and with a 75-tonne travel lift and undercover hardstand on request, we can basically look after any-sized vessel.

“The key to it is access and security and we beat the competition hands down on that. You don’t have to go all the way up the western reach of the Coomera River to get your boat lifted any more because we can accommodate you right here only minutes from Paradise Point,” he said.

Jones said the facility had been used to service and provide after-sales support to Maritimo owners, but the company had made a decision to open it up to the broader boating public.

He said Maritimo Hope Island would now provide services such as haul out, wash downs, anti fouling, engine and gen set servicing, polishing, timber refit, electrical repairs and electronics, swim platforms, detailing and prop speeding.

“We aim to be very competitive so anyone needing to get their boat out of the water should give us a call and compare,” said Jones.
