REPOWER - Mercury Plus Series Expanded
Mercury Marine has added three more options to its range of Plus Series remanufactured engines, the 300hp 350 MPI Alpha, 275hp 357 Alpha 4V and the 225hp 4.3L Alpha 4V.
Mercury says these engines provide an easy and economical option for owners to re-power their boats at a fraction of the cost of buying new. And all are designed to work Alpha One sterndrive unit, which Mercury claims is the most popular sterndrive in the world.
“For thousands of boat owners around Australia, these engines are the ideal option,” said Peter Massina, Mercury Marine’s remanufacturing sales manager. “They know their engine is getting old and tired but they are hesitant about the cost of a new motor — so a remanufactured engine is the answer.”
Mercury said there’s a world of difference between a remanufactured engine and buying secondhand, such as:
* Mercury remanufacturing takes place in a state-of-the-art facility by expert marine technicians.
* Plus Series engines meet all current standards.
* Only the engine is remanufactured.
* All the ancillary equipment — fuel system, ignition system, the drive, transom and manifold — are brand new.
