BOAT SHOWS - Under the big top at Sanctuary Cove
The 23rd Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show (SCIBS) will feature a newly configured space including one of the largest pavilion structures erected in Australia for an annual event in 2011.
The four-day event will be held Thursday, May 19 to Sunday, May 22 at Sanctuary Cove on the Gold Coast.
SCIBS will open exhibitor bookings online from November 1, where applications for exhibition space will be available for registration at www.sanctuarycoveboatshow.com.au
“Exhibitors will note that we have made some adjustments to the pavilion display layout to make way for future development planned by Sanctuary Cove’s owners Mulpha Sanctuary Cove (Developments) Pty Limited in the area previously occupied by Pavilion B,” said events and operations manager, Phil Shaw.
“We have extended Pavilion A by 1400m² to a total of 5000m². Our suppliers suggest this will be one of the largest temporary event structures erected in Australia for an annual event,” said Shaw. The Super Yacht Pavilion within Masthead Way will remain the same as 2010.
On the marina, SCIBS will again offer exhibitors the opportunity to conduct sea trials during the show. This was introduced this year and, following positive feedback from exhibitors, will be catered for in 2011.
The Prestige Brokerage and Charter Boat Display is available for exhibitors to showcase prestige brokerage boats 50 feet and over and for charter boat companies to promote their services.
This year’s SCIBS attracted 424 exhibitors, 570 boats and other marine craft, and more than 100 world and Australian marine product launches. The final visitor tally was 39,019.
All 2011 confirmed exhibitors who choose to advertise in the SCIBS Yearbook will receive a free live link to their website. The Yearbook will also be placed live on the SCIBS website.
