Fountaine Pajot, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of cruising catamarans, has awarded Australia’s Multihull Solutions the company’s coveted
Worldwide Distributor of the Year
title.

Multihull Solutions said the award recognised its efforts in achieving the highest sales of Fountaine Pajot sail catamarans and Trawler powercats within the company’s international network of distributors.

Mark Elkington, Multihull Solutions managing director said the award was a fantastic achievement for the company, which was launched in 2008.

“Although we have been representing Fountaine Pajot in Australia and NZ for more than 12 years, Multihull Solutions is a relatively new name in the industry,” said Elkington.

“This award is a testament to our fantastic team and the tremendous work they have invested in promoting the advantages of multihulls to the sailing market,” he said.

Multihull Solutions recently opened its inaugural NZ office, citing a strong demand for more choice in multihull brands and a new level of professional service for this specialist market in that region.

The new Multihull Solutions office will be located in the heart of NZ’s marine sales precinct in Westhaven (Auckland), offering clients a choice of leading brands including Fountaine Pajot, Trawler, Sunreef Yachts, Catana, and now ArrowCat.

In addition to its range of new boats, Multihull Solutions says it will offer a quality Preowned Brokerage division for the NZ market with an extensive array of power and sail multihulls.

Fountaine Pajot is the world’s largest catamaran builder and, according to Multihull Solutions, has consistently set the industry standards for technological and design excellence since its establishment in France in 1976.

“In 2010 Fountaine Pajot celebrates the production of more than 2000 catamarans in 27 years, an achievement unequalled by any other multihull shipyard anywhere in the world,” said the distributor.

The Fountaine Pajot Sail range comprises the new Mahe 36 Evolution, Lipari 41, Orana 44, Salina 48 Evolution, Eleuthera 60, and the Galathea 65, while the Trawler range includes the Highland 35 Pilot, Summerland 40, Cumberland 46 and Queensland 55.
