Hanse lauds Sydney's Windcraft - again

Germany’s Hanse Yachts have awarded Pittwater dealership Windcraft as its World Dealer of the Year for 2009. 

This is the third time Windcraft have won the award from Hanse — in 2005 and now in consecutive years.

Windcraft was represented by Peter Hrones and his travelling partners Allan Bridge and Bob Vinks at the annual Hanse Dealer Meeting in Greifswald, Germany, in July, and found themselves in the limelight when the award was announced.

The owner of Hanse Yachts Germany, Michael Schmidt, handed the award to Hrones, stating that this overall prize was given to his Australian dealer for their good turnover with good pre-ordered inventory, marketing and innovation feedback and in particular, the Hanse owners Club, which offers a special new-yacht service centre.

Windcraft said the award came as a complete surprise to Hrones and made it the third time the Pittwater-based company had been awarded it. More than 180 Hanse dealers from around the world were said to be present at this year’s Hanse awards.
