NEWS - West RIBs auctions boating stock

West Australian inflatable boat dealer, West RIBs, will hold an auction on June 27 to reduce its stockholding prior to the end of the financial year to alleviate its current storage difficulties. This, it claims, will result in the largest boat auction to ever be held in Perth.

West RIBs said the auction will provide WA boating enthusiasts the opportunity to take advantage of the depressed prices in the national recreational boating market. A large variety of vessels from 2m up to 13m including luxury tenders, centre consoles, and sportscruisers will be put on the block.

Recreational boat sales in WA remain relatively buoyant compared to the Eastern states, although considerable downward pressure has been placed on pricing, said West RIBs which reported an expected increase in fourth-quarter sales activity compared to 2008 financial year.

“We feel that now is an opportune time to refine our stockholding while consumers are actively seeking to avail themselves of the depressed market,” said West RIBs’ managing director, Chris Castle.
It is anticipated that more than 25 vessels will be offered, representing a variety of brands including Mustang, Falcon and Gulf Craft.

The auction will be held onsite in the showroom at 5/24 Mews Road, Fremantle, WA, at 11am on June 27.

Buyers wishing a brochure or to register should contact West RIBs directly, phone (08) 9336 4418 or email: sales@westribs.com.au

The auction list is available to view on the company website at www.westribs.com.au and boats will be available for inspection from June 19 or by calling West RIBs.
