NEWS - Sea Ray goes large at Sydney
Giant American pleasureboat manufacturer Sea Ray is promoting the launch of its 280 Sundancer express cruiser as the highlight of its 14-boat indoor and on-water display at the upcoming Sydney International Boat Show (July 30 to August 3).
Sea Ray said its models on display range from the entry-level 175 Sport speedster, through to the 18m, teak-floored 55 Sundancer.
“Every year Sea Ray has a big presence at the Sydney Show and 2009 will be no different,” said Nick Webb, director of marketing for Brunswick Asia Pacific Group.
As well as the first public display of the 280 Sundancer, Sea Ray expects the 2009 versions of its family-oriented 210 and 230 Sundeck will attract plenty of attention too.
“The quality and innovative design which is the basis of Sea Ray’s reputation is going to be there for everyone to see,” said Webb.
“But the brand means much more than that. Sea Ray has been around for 50 years and boats are being imported every year, unlike some other models, which really helps hold up resale value.
“There’s also an unbeatable dealer network, which means quality care all the way down the line — mechanical and personal. Sea Ray has the experience, the volume and the people, so you can feel secure when you buy one of these great boats,” Webb said.
Sea Ray said its undercover display includes the 175 Sports, 185 Sports, 205 Sports, 210 Sundeck, 230 Sundeck, 250 Select EX bowrider, and 280 Sundancer, while on the water it features the 350 Sundancer, 36 Sedan Bridge, 44 Sedan Bridge, 44 Sundancer, 48 Sundancer, and 55 Sundancer, plus the new 285 Boston Whaler Conquest featuring the manufacturer’s Unibond construction.
