The dawn of a new era: the Whitehaven revolution

We’re witnessing a very exciting time for Australian luxury motor yacht brand, Whitehaven, which is revolutionising the way it makes boats with an ongoing collaboration with Steve Ford of 4D Designs, another Aussie marine company making strides in the industry. Bringing a radical new suite of features to Whitehaven’s vessels in its 7000 Series — 7000 Sports Yacht, Flybridge and Sports Flybridge models — this new collaboration brings more innovation the brand.

Newest features

While there are too many new features to note, we’ll try run through a few, starting with the reimagining of the foredeck as the ‘Vista Deck’ — a revolutionary re-engineering of access from the saloon direct to the bow. The new Vista Deck allows access to the luxurious lounge and sun deck bow area with ease for all guests to seamlessly flow through the entire boat.

The all-new foredeck now offers an expanded seating and dining space for up to 10 people — and a removeable Euro awning for sun protection is provided over this spacious entertaining area.

Another new feature we want to bring to light is the ‘Atrium,’ which is large swathes of open space added to the vessels that let light stream in from the flybridge windows to the saloon below and even further down to the lower decks.

They are not modifications or the evolution of a past idea. They provide clear and distinct benefits that will enhance the on-board experience and add new dimensions to the boating lifestyle.”

Seeing is believing

To capture the groundbreaking features of the new 7000 models, Whitehaven has stepped beyond the standard GA and 2D graphics and developed its own, interactive, hyper-realistic technology that allows perspective owners to configure their ideal vessel.

The new program, known as ‘The Customiser,’ allows the operator to specify features during a walkthrough by clicking on the Smart Spec list of options so they can build their own Whitehaven with almost every detail you can think of.

“Whitehaven is the first to adopt Smart Spec technology for new model specification, with hyper-realism at the click of your mouse,” said Steve Ford.
