2024 Australian Sail Grand Prix: Sydney coming up
The 2024 KPMG Australian Sail Grand Prix held in Sydney is coming up later this month (24–25 February) — don’t miss the high-speed action.
The 2024 KPMG Australian Sail Grand Prix is set to return to the iconic Sydney Harbour for the fifth time on the weekend of 24–25 February, just over a week away!
The summer races are always an exciting event with a range of on-land and on-water spectator packages available, free and paid, so you can be at the heart of the action. You can choose to watch the races from Genesis Island, official spectator boats organised by tour groups, or you can bring your own boat.
National pride will be on the line as Tom Slingsby’s Australia SailGP team races against the sport’s best from nine other nations — Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, New Zealand, Spain, Switzerland and the US. We’re hoping he can succeed on home waters.
Genesis Departure Lounge
There’s much more to the Aussie Sail Grand Prix than just sailing, with loads of other fun activities to enjoy. These include the Genesis Departure Lounge where you can experience luxury, innovation and excitement from 12pm on race days. The space has been transformed into a comfortable oasis where you can relish in the Sydney summer pre-racing.
You can’t miss the Australian debut of the show-stopping Genesis X Convertible Concept, plus energetic entertainment and exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the Australian team … plus more!
SailGP Village — Barangaroo
Barangaroo is the official home of this year’s SailGP Village, the centre of all the pre- and post-racing action. Located right on the waterfront, the vibrant dining, shopping and leisure precinct is host to more than 90 of Sydney’s best restaurants and bars, from fine dining to late-night venues.
This is also where you’ll depart for Genesis Island or board your spectator boat.
