Redefining maritime navigation with SEA A.I.
Discover SEA A.I., a new product distributed by Outback Marine Australia that utilises AI technology for safer maritime navigation.
Outback Marine Australia is proud to unveil its latest cutting-edge navigation solution:
The result of a groundbreaking collaboration between maritime technology innovators, this product is set to transform the landscape of maritime navigation by harnessing the power of advanced artificial intelligence to provide enhanced accuracy and safety to seafarers around the world.Key features and benefits:
Enhanced situational awareness
SEA A.I. features two thermal imaging cameras and a high-resolution colour camera, offering crews an unparalleled level of situational awareness both night and day. The units were installed on 18 IMOCA 60 racing yachts, which sailed around the globe in order to train and optimise the A.I. algorithms via machine learning, ensuring all users have an optimised experience.
A.I. powered navigation
Enter the future of navigation with SEA A.I.’s state-of-the-art intelligence algorithms. These algorithms continuously analyse immense amounts of data to warn users of potential dangers in the water, such as floating debris, uncharted obstacles or other vessels. This real-time analysis enables ships to navigate complex conditions with precious, reducing the risk of accidents and enhancing overall voyage efficiency.
Collision avoidance
One of the standout features of SEA A.I. is its proactive collision avoidance system. Enjoy peace of mind as the artificial intelligence keeps watch, alerting the users of potential collision scenarios well in advance, ensuring any necessary evasive actions can be performed in a safe manner and thus maintaining the safety of the vessel and all on board.
Streamlined operations
Utilise SEA A.I.’s intuitive user interface to switch seamlessly between Coastal and Offshore modes to minimise nuisance alarms. This user-friendly design simplifies navigation, reducing fatigue and cognitive strain, enabling the crew to focus on other essential operational activities.
Network compatibility
The user-friendly features continue, as SEA A.I. has also developed an interface with all major brands of multi-function displays (MFDs), including Raymarine, Garmin, Furono and B&G (Navico) systems. And no matter where you are on the boat, SEA A.I. remains accessible via its iOS and Android app, available for tablets and smartphones.
Power and sail options
The comprehensive SEA A.I. range accommodates all kinds of vessels. Fixed masthead units cater for sail boats, with options for rotating masts such as those found on performance catamarans, and high-resolution cameras offer increased sensitivity.
For those with power boats, the SEA A.I. Sentry is designed for roof mounting on power boats, offering collision avoidance mode when underway. It also provides 360-degree panning, which is useful as an anchor watch or security surveillance as well as object tracking with manual pan, tilt and electronic zoom functions.
Strategic partnership with Outback Marine Australia
