Excitement is building as more exhibitors join the much-anticipated line-up, announcing premieres and new products that will make their grand debut at this spectacular showcase. With exhibitor spaces filling up rapidly, the exhibition hall is close to reaching full capacity, and the marina promises an extensive display of well over 210 impressive vessels.
No matter your boating interests, this year’s show is guaranteed to have something that floats your boat. From sailing enthusiasts to avid anglers, waterskiing thrill-seekers to wakeboarding pros, and so much more – there’s something for everyone at SIBS.
President of the Boating Industry Association (BIA) Andrew Fielding said the show is shaping up to be an exceptional celebration of recreational boating. “Our members are very excited about the upcoming Sydney International Boat Show,” Mr Fielding said. “The interest and demand for exhibition space has been a high priority for boating suppliers and retailers, not just from NSW, but right across the country. This is going to be a great show.”
With all the maritime magic kicking into gear, many exhibitors are taking advantage of the anticipation in the lead up to the show and announcing launches and new boats.
Flagstaff Marine
Flagstaff Marine is presenting one of its biggest premiere Beneteau line-ups ever, including the new Oceanis 34.1 and Oceanis Yacht 54, the Gran Turismo 41 and Gran Turismo 45, and the award winning First 36.
Iliad Catamarans
This year’s show will also see the global launch of Iliad Catamarans’ 53F flybridge model. This impressive motor yacht has outstanding interior living space, including a huge forward lounge, helm station (optional) and dining for six to eight people. Accommodation onboard is generous and beautifully designed with the master suite encompassing an entire hull and featuring an oversized island queen bed, panoramic windows and an expansive ensuite. The galley is fitted with luxury European appliances, and its design is sleek and practical with an island bench, full-size fridge and freezer and well-designed storage.
Nautique Central
Don’t miss the Australian premieres presented by Nautique Central: The Nautique GS20 and GS22, delivering next-level versatility for wakeboarders and water-skiers. Featuring a complete redesign, these fresh models are designed to provide better wake surf, wakeboard and waterski performance than ever, created in a multi-spot boat.
And ensure you keep an eye out for the new ‘Supreme’ range of boats, including the S220, which will make their Australian debut at the Show.
Leopard Catamarans
The Leopard 40 Powercat will be premiering for the first time in the Asia-Pacific. This luxury vessel brings optimal reliability, speed, stability and fuel consumption. The Leopard 40 joins the successful Leopard 46 and Leopard 53 models at the forefront of the global cruising power catamaran market.
Sirocco Marine
Sirocco Marine will be a familiar face to many at SIBS, and this year the manufacturer will be returning with a range of new Zodiac models to display. With decades of boating experience across their team, and years of success, Sirocco Marine has earned a well-deserved reputation as a leader in Australia when it comes to rigid inflatable boats (known fondly as RIBS in the boating community).
Sirocco Marine has also been the Australian dealer for BRIG since 2006, and after a year of forced hiatus due to the conflict in Ukraine, the BRIG factory in Kharkiv has resumed production and the first all-new BRIG RIBS have arrived in Australia. Prior to the disruption, BRIG was the world’s largest manufacturer of RIBS and accounted for 70 per cent of the local market, creating employment for dozens of businesses and enjoyment for a legion of loyal BRIG owners.
MY Marine
The Lilybaeum Levanso 25 is also set to make its Australian premiere at SIBS 2023, and it is sure to turn heads with its racy Italian design and promise of performance to match. The distinguished high-flared bow, hull lines and high sides provide excellent stability and a perfect dry deck in all conditions.
Dmitriy Dubs, Director at MY Marine, chose Lilybaeum for the quality of the build, craftsmanship and luxury design. “We are excited to present the Levanzo 25 at the Show and we’re sure people will be impressed with the design, performance and complete package.”
Australian Superyachts
Australian Superyachts is excited to present the brand-new NOMAD 101 Explorer Yacht for the first time in Australia.
The NOMAD 101 Explorer Yacht is set to make some waves at SIBS this year. Presented by Australian Superyachts this will be the first debut of this luxury vessel in Australia. It will also be the largest vessel on display at SIBS 2023. The NOMAD 101 is touted as the epitome of the ‘new gen’ yachts focused primarily on enjoying the journey to pristine destinations. Its bow cuts through the chop, running at a maximum speed of 22.5K, while the sweet spot lies at an economical speed of 10K, wherein fuel consumption is optimum, and the range can be as much as 1400nm.
D’Albora Marine
D’Albora Marine is proud to debut the Azimut 53 Flybridge for the first time in Australia. The 53 is a last generation flybridge yacht with sleek and clean lines by Alberto Mancini, who was able to disguise the generous interior volumes by creating the perfect combination of eye-catching design and onboard comfort. The wide and uninterrupted side glazing along the main deck extends from stem to stern, reducing the use of fibreglass to a minimum and enhancing the yacht’s slender lines.
Kawasaki
For the more thrilling at heart, take a first look at the Kawasaki Ultra 160 Series LX and LX-S personal watercraft (PWC). The Ultra 160 Series models offer significantly higher levels of comfort and convenience than previously seen, making them the models of choice for touring in comfort and style. New seats and foot well designs contribute to more comfortable ergonomics, while taller bumps offer increased splash protection.
On the 160LX, the adjustable ERGO-FIT LXury Seat allows riders to tailor their riding position, while Kawasaki’s JETSOUND 4s four-speaker PWC audio system adds a soundtrack to waterborne adventures.
David Marine
Visitors to the show will enjoy the Duchy 35 ‘Kookaburra’ launch. This stunning vessel boasts a generous cockpit and expansive saloon, and a flexible design, allowing you to select either a single or twin cabin layout.
With a single cabin layout, the 35 becomes a luxury day boat or weekender for two. While the twin cabin layout transforms the vessel into a comfortable family cruiser with a well-equipped galley located in the spacious saloon and two double berths below.
The Yacht Sales Co
The Yacht Sales Co is excited to reveal the Tesoro T40 Outboard for the first time in the Asia-Pacific. The Tesoro T40 Outboard’s new exterior design and plenty of refined interior details make it one of the iconic models in The Yacht Sales Co line-up.
This vessel provides easier and safer sea access due to the generous swim platform that cleverly encases the engine, or alternatively, a hydraulic platform with three levels that can also be installed. The expansive garage space ensures owners can enjoy near-endless storage for all types and sizes of water toys. Generous hull windows and cabin skylight deliver beautiful natural light and ventilation, ensuring you can make the most of the summer days. The yacht’s interior is the most spacious in her category with two generous cabins.
Sundance Marine
Sundance Marine is looking forward to showcasing Invictus Yachts for the first time at SIBS. Make sure you don’t miss checking out the new Invictus TT420, which is making its Asia Pacific premiere. The profile of the Invictus TT420 incorporates the stylistic features of its older sister the TT460 (winner of the Design Innovation Award in 2020) and is the perfect blend of beauty and product usability.
In addition to this stunning debut, other Invictus Yacht vessels on show are the ever-popular GT370 and TT280.
Ensign Yacht Brokers
The Bavaria SR41, Rhea Timonier and Rhea 23, all presented by Ensign Yacht Brokers, are joining this highly anticipated list of premieres.
The SR41 features an intelligently designed cabin layout, which adds new dimension to the vessel. A well-equipped L-shape galley with salon table opposite is an entertainer’s paradise, allowing owners to prepare and enjoy meals with guests with absolute ease.
The Timonier is beautifully versatile, with its large aft deck the perfect spot to enjoy a fishing getaway or set up as an entertaining platform. The sliding doors allow for ease of access into the spacious and light-filled cabin. The interior layout is well-designed and equipped, ensuring the Timonier can serve all kinds of functions, whether that be as a great day boat or weekender with family and friends.
The Rhea 23 is an ideal dayboat for Australian waters and features a secure walkaround to enjoy a quiet and pleasant yet powerful and stable ride. Enjoy fishing or waterskiing in the morning, and then gather around the beautiful teak table in the cockpit with seating for up to eight people. Then, as the sun begins to set, enjoy a cruise while you lounge on the sunbed at the foredeck.
Horizon Yachts
Lastly, but by no means least, Horizon Yachts is proud to premiere its V74 for the first time in Australia. The V74 is distinguished by a plumb bow design, bold exterior profile and features a spacious interior layout – all of which have been customised for the Australian market.
This vessel design is an evolution of the V68 model and includes an enclosed skylounge and spacious four stateroom layout.
