Spotlight: Jeanneau Cap Camarat
In 2022, the Cap Camarat celebrated its 40-year anniversary in the European market.
Described by its creators as the ideal boat for family fun and adventure, the Cap Camarat has continued to evolve throughout its four decades of history.
The Cap Camarat was born of a desire to combine functionality, easy handling and versatility. To this day, it continues to deliver on those promises. Equally at ease during a water sport adventure as during a casual cruise, the vessel is continually recognised for its high liveability levels.
Its steady hull provides safety and stability, while its careful deck design maximises living space for those on board. According to Jeanneau, the model has retained four strong qualities through its constant evolution: seaworthy qualities, versatility, safety and true values. Naval architect Michael Peters joined forces with Sarrazin Design to ensure the Cap Camarat would retain its innovative key features, which continue to make it a popular choice with seafarers today.
Beginning in 1982 with the launch of the Cap Camarat 575, the company continued to refine the design in line with changing consumer requirements. The same year, the Cap Camarat 510 was released, and to this day, the line has sold over 1000 boats.
The design continued to evolve throughout the years, with the development of the Cap Camarat 9.0 CC in 2018. The point of difference in this model was its modular layout and enclosed head compartment, which made the boat suitable for overnight cruises.
The Cap Camarat is in a constant stage of development. Changing consumer behaviour has necessitated the creation of larger boats, a demand that Jeanneau has heard loud and clear.
The Cap Camarat 12.5 WA was released in 2020, offering luxury and sporty performance to those seeking day cruisers. The forward-facing saloon gives sailors plenty of space to invite guests along, while the multi-configuration exterior galley boosts the entertaining potential of the vessel.
One thing is for sure, the Cap Camaret continues to be a crowd favourite, and Jeanneau has no plans to stop refining this incredible creation.
