The Lagoon 51 is the latest offering from Lagoon and promises to make waves with its fluid onboard living conditions and luxury finishes. This vessel is set to be an entertainer’s delight, with a flybridge layout that will help travellers make the most of the outdoor space. The flybridge comprises 80% of the roof, and has two large sun pads. The cockpit also offers additional entertaining space. With plenty of cupholders, sun protection and seating, the captain will be able to enjoy the company of guests.

According to VPLP Design, “We designed the Lagoon 51 as a perfect synthesis of the modernity of shapes and the sail plan, with living space on deck and inside that is unequalled on a boat of this size”.

The stepped mast on the forward of the saloon means passengers can enjoy uninterrupted views. The design of the saloon creates an airy feeling and a sense of space. The large and wide transoms provide easy access to the dock.

The Lagoon 51 comes with the option of solar panels, reflecting the design’s commitment to environmental sustainability. Further ‘greening’ the model is the fact that the timber used in its make is obtained from the Forestry Stewardship Council and that hemp fibre replaces fiberglass where possible. Furthermore, it is proposed that the furniture will be made from recycled materials.

In a first for Lagoon vessels, the Seanapps system — complete with smart box — makes the maintenance and management of the vessel efficient and simple to oversee.

John Cowpe, MD of TPG, said the new Lagoon is the result of owner and dealer feedback. “The 50ft segment is a very popular one and is an area in which Lagoon has traditionally dominated. To replace the fabulous Lagoon 50 is a big deal. With over 200 on the water, Lagoon has taken on board all of the owner and dealer feedback and put it into the mix to produce this incredible new 51.”
