Spotlight on Sunreef 70 Catamaran
Sweetness Overload
Founded by Francis Lapp in 2002 in Gdansk, Poland, Sunreef Yachts has been designing and manufacturing luxury sailing and power multihulls ever since and its new catamaran is one to keep an eye on.
Candy has a new, refined interior design with her bimini roof fitted with composite-integrated solar panels to utilise the sun. So, on a warm day, whilst knowing you’re powered, you can take some time to relax on one of the two oversized sofas with easy access to the wine cooler and fridge. If guests are onboard, the main deck saloon also has dining space, while to the bow, the automatic door opens to the large bow terrace and the sunken lounging spot to relax well into the night. On the flybridge, you’ll find the main helm station, along with large sunpads, a bar with barbecue as well as a height-adjustable dining table which can be made level with the U-shaped settee to extend the lounging space. Guests can enjoy a full-beam relaxation area inside the aft cockpit with another large dining table, a fridge and icemaker, a sofa and sunpads. Did we mention entertaining...?
For those staying aboard overnight, the Sunreef 70 has a four-cabin layout accommodating up to eight guests. The three guest cabins have ample storage and their own bathrooms, while the master suite has a king-size bed, tv, vanity desk and a walk-in wardrobe for extreme luxury and comfort.
Living spaces is what makes Candy stand out, and with the level of comfort, performance under sail and advanced technology on board, it’s perfect for the avid sailor. Even better, the Sunreef 70 is fully customisable and offers owners the chance to tailor their dream boat in its layout and décor.
An innovative option available by Sunreef is also the Sunreef 70 Eco. Rather than just the solar panels in the bimini roof, the Eco version has a solar power system with panels fully integrated in the hulls, superstructure, mast and boom, covering a massive 143m2 which delivers up to 30kWp. The battery bank has a density below 5.2kg/kWh and is close to 30 per cent lighter than other systems commonly used in yachts. It’s luxury and environmentally conscious sailing wrapped up in one neat package.
