New marine partnership
Short Marine is partnering with Game and Leisure Boats, expanding Short Marine’s presence to the Queensland market.
Game and Leisure Boats Dealer Principal, Graham McCloy will continue at the Runaway Bay location, along with the rest of the team in their current roles.
The new group will be the Australian distributorship for the fishing and recreational brands of Grady-White, Viking, Valhalla, Hatteras, Cabo, and Capelli, and will remain the Queensland dealers for Regal and Caribbean vessels.
The group will also continue retailing the engine, electronics and accessory brands of Yamaha, Garmin, Raymarine, Simrad and Furuno.
Ryan and Sam Short, owners of Short Marine, will be back and forth between the two locations during the initial period, and they plan to build on Game and Leisure’s success over the years.
“Boating is what people look forward to on the weekend,” Sam said. “It’s responsible for creating memories that stick with families for lifetimes (like it has with us). Most importantly, we believe the Gold Coast and Sydney they are the two best places to go boating in Australia, and the world.”
The Sydney based Short Marine and Gold Coast based Game and Leisure Boats’ names will remain.
