The Boat Works Expansion
The Boat Works will now have bigger sheds with a 20-metre clearance in its superyacht refit sheds on the Gold Coast.
Boat owners and Captains will be able have their charter and private superyachts undergo refinishing works, major refit projects and maintenance once the new sheds open in the first quarter of 2022.
The Boat Works is still in construction of their Stage 4 expansion which will see them with a 300-tonne capacity marine travel lift, highlighting the continued demand of the boating industry and the need for additional marine infrastructure.
The new sheds will ensure plenty of space for the installation of scaffold and scissor lifts, as well as will provide immense working and storage area.
Shane Subichin, General Manager of Boat Works, said to maintain the business’ green reputation and responsibility, they will again be investing in solar and will be harvesting the water onsite.
“All sheds provide excellent LED lighting, ample power for vessels and trades, drainage that is channelled into a treatment process, and commercial curtains for privacy and reduction of noise and dust pollution,” he said.
The Boat Works has welcomed 15 new marine businesses to the north yard since the Stage 3 expansion opened in April 2021.
“We offer variety and choice in everything at The Boat Works, including access to a collective group of over 80 marine businesses on-site and all the other marine trade professionals and contractors within the Coomera Marine precinct on our doorstep,” Subichin said.
