Beneteau’s latest Gran Turismo 45 adds a new level of sleek to high-comfort liveability and functionality
Beneteau’s Gran Turismo 45 was driven by the manufacturer’s desire to still offer the sailing qualities of its predecessor, the GT46, while providing greater comfort and practicality. With the ease of liveability for passengers a strong motivator for Beneteau, the GT45 allows those on board to adapt to the changing weather as well as their changing needs.
The large windows, wide expanse of sundeck and U-shaped cockpit seating on this express cruiser provides guests a great blend of indoor/outdoor entertainment and experience. The vessel has elegant details, such as ‘fashion plates’ fixed to the sides of the hard-top and on the engine air intakes which are finished in metallic grey paint to give the boat a look similar to a luxury motor vehicle. With the warm and elegant interior of grey walnut and white lacquered joinery, owners will revel in the sporty elegance of the GT45.

Owners and passengers alike will enjoy the hydraulically controlled bathing platform and sun pad where two people can comfortably relax in style and take in the panoramic views. The sunroof has a new electric hard-top, a standard feature with optional glass panel, which allows light inside. The foredeck has a second sun pad with deck-level cushions as well as several optional features like flip-up headrests, a canopy/Bimini and courtesy lights, so that owners can customise the vessel to their needs.
The Gran Turismo’s modular design allows for even more functional aspects, such as the aft sun deck which conceals a tender garage with electric door, as well as an electric winch to recover the tender back on board. In the extension of the sun deck, an electric grill has been housed discreetly, allowing for alfresco dining. The U-shaped seat faces the Wet Bar, featuring a sink, fridge and ice-maker, and also contains a retractable TV for entertainment. The Pack with Ship Control® on-board assistant and Air Step® hull provide optional electronics to enhance functionality.
A vision at sea
As for liveability, owners will enjoy the large fridge/freezer, dishwasher and storage areas throughout the main saloon. Depending on the needs of the owner, the seating area can be replaced by a third cabin with two single berths, to go with the full-width cabin with a private head and shower cubicle as well as VIP cabin for guests.
