The Naiad Expedition is ready for long-range cruising

Local Spotlight: Naiad EXPEDITION fifteen

Introducing the first of its new line, Naiad’s Expedition fifteen combines military and rescue offshore performance with flawless and stylish features

Dependable explorer

Adventurers and intrepid travellers will be able to experience the premium finishes and options that are unique to New Zealand based Naiad, with the release of its new line. The EXPEDITION fifteen is built for adventurers who are after a vessel will allow them to explore various waters safely that is also easy to handle, especially for long-range journeys.

Ryan Carmichael from Naiad’s parent company, The Whisky Project, said the EXPEDITION fifteen meets demands of dependability and safety but also adds comfort and liveability for everyone onboard. “Whether you dream of hopping around uninhabited and remote islands, circumnavigating Tasmania or weaving through archipelago of north-western Australia, this boat is built for that purpose,” he said.

The launch allows owners to experience why Australia and New Zealand’s rescue and patrol agencies, tour operators and maritime specialists use Naiad’s vessels. The deep V hull and foam filled D Collar means the craft is reliably seaworthy, and with the addition of the latest triple V12 Mercury 600hp motors, the vessel can reach high cruise speeds of up to 50 knots. The 2500L fuel capacity is capable of operating to a range of over 500NM at 25 knots, which allows keen explorers to explore locations other vessels won’t reach. The shallow draft, however, means owners can confidently explore up rivers and cross coastal bars, too.

The EXPEDITION fifteen features bow boarding via hinged stairs and hidden dive and swim ladders for easy access into the ocean for whatever your interests. A freshwater system, air conditioner and premium fitout and appliances give the vessel that little bit of extra luxury for its capable and rough usage origins. Along those lines, it also includes custom upholstery, a rear lounge bar area, a generator, barbecue, bow and cockpit seating of which the help and passenger seating is suspended. With the enhanced joystick-controlled manoeuvrability, night vision, radar, triple sounders, AIS and a full suite of electronics, owners can also be rest-assured that they can reach their destination safety at any time of the day.

“EXPEDITION fifteen allows you to make the most of life and its adventures, on your terms, and in your time,” said Carmichael. The release of Naiad’s vessel means boating enthusiasts can combine safety and comfort with their adventuring spirit and makes a great all-rounder boat.
