Azimut Grande Trideck

Azimut Yachts enters the world of triple-deckers with the Grande Trideck sporting three decks plus one

With over 50 years of industry experience, Italian-owned Azimut Yachts has released its newest edition to its range, the Grande Trideck. The company has a presence in 70 countries and is well known worldwide, and its newest yacht, the largest ever built by the shipyard, signals a push in the brand’s transition into innovation and tackling contemporary demands.

The Grande Trideck is listed with a plus one deck due to the extra aft deck, in addition to the three staggered traditional ones, making it an extremely visually appealing yacht for any enthusiast. This addition, called the Sea View Terrace, is a deck of 30sqm that looks as though it is floating in the air, two metres above the water, offering owners more function, size and flexibility. With the new and larger volume, the yacht is innovative in its modern design, and its 38.2m long and 7.9m wide layout, caters to a less formal lifestyle onboard and those wanting closer contact with the marine environment. With a gross tonnage below 300GT and two possible configurations for five or six guest cabins, the yacht allows for customisation according to the owner’s needs.

Yacht cruising through the water

The Grande Trideck strays away from the traditional subdivision layout to accommodate a more natural way of living onboard. It oozes luxury, with a central royal staircase when boarded, along with plenty of natural light from the large windows and dynamic external lines. The Sea View Terrace is fitted with a large C-shaped sofa arrangement facing off the stern, which offers the owner an immersive entertaining area for guests. For a sense of intimacy, it also offers the advantage of creating a private patio, an additional outdoor sheltered area before entering the salon. The Beach Area Terrace comes equipped with a fully customisable furnishing area and a wet bar, and the sun deck includes a large sunbathing area with freestanding furniture and a view overlooking the sea. If that’s not enough, the upper deck features an extendable square table of handcrafted natural teak with white lacquered inserts that seats up to 12 people, meaning that other than a relaxing lifestyle yacht, it’s also one fit for entertaining.

Another aspect of the innovation and research put into the vessel is that the boat is based on an advanced naval platform and benefits from the second generation D2P (Displacement to Planning) hull, which significantly reduces fuel consumption. The new flagship Trideck offers comparable and sometimes lower consumption figures than those of her smaller sister, the Grande 35 Metri, which was already best in its class. The yacht’s entire superstructure is laminated in carbon fibre for a 30 per cent local reduction in weight and an absolute weight reduction of 6 tons, offering excellent static and dynamic stability. The vessel also allows for optimal onboard electricity consumption with an advanced power management system by SeaEnergy. For even more freedom, owners can add Hotel Mode to the Trideck for a relaxed, totally silent anchorage in a bay, with zero emissions.

The thought behind the style and layout of the Azimut Grande Trideck makes it an appealing yacht for enthusiasts who are after luxury, functionality and liveability while at sea.
