Leigh-Smith Yachts Australia Delivers Sanlorenzo SD112 Tri-Deck Motor Yacht

The growth of the Australian superyacht industry has seen a significant spike since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020. The South Pacific cruising grounds spanning Australia, Fiji, and New Zealand have been brought into the spotlight as safe, well-serviced charter destinations for superyachting enthusiasts globally.

Based at Sanctuary Cove in the yachting hub of the Gold Coast, Queensland, a 2019 Sanlorenzo SD112 Tri-Deck motor yacht measuring 112ft (34m) has been sold by Dean and Ryan Leigh-Smith of Leigh-Smith Yachts Australia.

This sale has cemented the position of the company as one of the most respected vendors for superyacht brokerages in the southern hemisphere. In addition to brokering sales since 1964, the Leigh-Smith family is responsible for two of the largest marinas and shipyards in the country as well as the founding the globally-recognised Coomera Marine Precinct, where the brothers spent 20 years cutting their teeth in the industry.

Built by Sanlorenzo Italy, the superyacht was built to RINA standards and has AMSA charter capabilities — positioning her as a premier charter yacht in Australia.

Accommodating up to 12 guests in a five-cabin layout, including a generous forward king-size master cabin on its main deck. Expansive deck spaces, intelligently designed layout, and commanding Sanlorenzo lines render her an elegant yet functional craft. Five crew can be hosted in her lower cabins, allowing a well-supported guest experience. Key features include Williams DieselJet and SeaDoo 300 tenders, water sports toys, and a large jacuzzi and top-level flybridge deck.

Renamed Trophy Wife, 75 guests were hosted on 26 June 2021 and were treated to free-flowing Bollinger, a cocktail bar with a mixologist, and live entertainment onboard at one of the most exclusive events hosted by Leigh-Smith in its 50+ years of history
