Maritimo founder Bill Barry-Cotter’s preference for Scanias lies in their superior efficiency at cruising revs and enviable 500-hour servicing schedule. 

Packing 4,300-litre fuel tanks in her hull, this M70 can comfortably deliver 1,000 to 1,200 nautical mile range at around10 knot displacement speeds, but even sitting on a leisurely 20 knots, this big cruiser will see almost 600 nautical miles from a tank between fills.

And when it comes time to park your pride and joy at the dock, this boat has you covered, despite her significant size and the windage that comes with that towering flybridge.

The main upper helm is linked to two additional stations (one upstairs and one on the aft deck) which remotely sync bow and stern thrusters with the engine for effortless manoeuvring.

Lounges surrounding the electrically-actuated helm chairs ensure the skipper will always have plenty of company underway, and behind, the skylounge runs aft to a private balcony where table and chairs provide the perfect platform for relaxing when the anchor is down.

On the water, a solid GRP hull carries ample buoyancy aft to create lift and reduced planing speeds that feed into improved efficiency.
