QUINTREX 420 HORNET TROPHY

Quintrex 420 Hornet Trophy Preview

It’s one thing for customers to say what they’re after, but it’s another thing entirely for a manufacturer to listen and give them what they want. But Quintrex has done just that with the release of the new 420 Hornet Trophy.

The 420 comes with 3mm bottom and side sheets, and is a total of 300mm deeper than the 400 model, which is just what the punters were after.

“Our dealers are very excited with the arrival of the new 420 Hornet Trophy. It is the first time this size has been offered in the Hornet Trophy range,” Quintrex national account manager Cameron Wood said.

“Customer feedback told us that people were really looking for a model to fill the gap between the 400 and 440 models, so the 420 Hornet Trophy was developed. And it is looking to become a very popular boat.”

In addition to the added depth, the 420 features the manufacturer’s Blade hull which, according to the designers, has been created with stretch-formed technology for a stable and soft ride.

But this baby is really all about the angling, and with rod holders, anchorwell, casting platform with a rear livebait tank, tackle storage and a fishfinder, the 420 Hornet Trophy is being billed as the ultimate fishing rig. Plus, the new boat can also be optioned with features like a bimini and envelope, bow-mount thruster plate, and a rod-storage pocket.

And as an extra bonus, the 420 Hornet Trophy is available as a Quintrex Instant Boating Package, which includes the boat, BRP Evinrude motor and Quintrex trailer, complete with a three-year limited-factory warranty.

Keep an eye out for a full test of the 420 Hornet Trophy in a future issue of TrailerBoat.
